Companies’ usage of Blockchain the coming 2-3 years is well indicated in the report below. My personal view is that this will take some time to accomplish. Blockchain requires a buy-in from all involved parties, i.e. for supply chains it needs to be built on standardized and agreed processes throughout a supply chain.
In this respect, a widespread Blockchain usage will be dependent on successful change management across supply chains. Process changes (behavioral changes) can either be forced into place by big “gorilla” players in the supply chain or evolve over time (slowly or in some cases quite fast) supported by early adopters and in this case a new, younger, generation of managers (decision makers).
